"An absolute treasure! Fourth generation hotel in the heart of Hanga Roa. Perfect location w/easy walkability to anything w/in 10 minutes. Sebastian, Marie and the entire Hare Nua staff were exceptional. Always there to meet us w/a warm smile and loved seeing us enjoying this incredible island. The hotel itself is well appointed w/gorgeous common spaces and an awesome garden in the courtyard. The courtyard has a cute plunge pool and new hot tub. The rooms themselves were great. Very comfortable beds, AC and hot shower. The daily breakfast was a treat and beautifully displayed. Don’t think twice, this is where you want to stay."

"The remote setting with its inventive, sensitive-to-the-environment architecture set the tone for an immersive Nature and discovery-centric adventure with two of our adult children in tow. Every guide was proud to live on and share the island with us-proud of their heritage and of the untouched beauty of their Island Paradise. We heavied up on excursions, including long scenic bike rides, scuba diving (COLD!), gorgeous solitary hikes up volcanoes and early am drives to see the sun rise over the impressive Moai (...). The sauna is the coolest sauna I have ever seen ( A big Palapa!) and the disappearing edge pool sports an unbeatable scenic view. The LIGHT and changing weather were mesmerizing highlights of the trip when at the lodge looking out from every room and also when wandering about on excursions. We also delighted in the simple , luxurious beauty of our rooms which were a combo of a practical, stripped down aesthetic (concrete floors, Donald-Judd-y plywood closets, dark and moody plastered walls in the bathrooms)and exceedingly rich and cozy touches like delicious sheets, towels, and hot pink wool blankets at the bottom of the fluffy beds. Overall an elegant , inspiring experience through and through."

"This was our first time at an Explora Lodge. We had high expectations given their reputation. We would say that they met those expectations. Explora really caters to a high end/luxury (lodge/accommodations, fine dining, unique locations, included and varied excursions, and talented and kind staff) experience. We were fortunate to have time to spend 4 nights and we felt it was the perfect quantity to see and hike most of the island. We are an active couple so we made the most of every day to pack in as much history and sightseeing via hiking as possible. Our efforts were greatly rewarded and we came away in love with our experience. The rooms are beautiful and the showers (water pressure) are the best we have experienced from all over the world. Views are amazing! Guides, drivers, vehicles, and excursions offered were perfect."

"A fabulous once-in-a-lifetime experience. The hotel was beautiful, the food exceptional, and the staff warm and welcoming. The daily treks and guides were exceptional and provided fascinating insight and knowledge into a unique island and culture . . . and the degree of physical exertion required individually calibrated to the guest. The location requires a measure of intention and it's not a trip that one stumbles into, but the Explora experience makes it entirely worth the effort."

We had a three night stay in a Vanua room and how I wish we had stayed a least an extra day. All staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The guides are informative and knowledgeable about the fascinating history of the island. Service is impeccable in every aspect from reception, the restaurant, house keeping, the guides.

Fabulous hotel - I hate that we only got to spend two nights there. The room was very comfortable. As were the public spaces of the hotel. The staff were great and very friendly throughout. The food was delicious. The guides were all fantastic, as were the tour choices. I definitely recommend it as a top choice for staying on Easter Island.

The best place to stay on Easter Island is Explora. Excellent food, very delicious wines (all included in the price), comfortable and beautiful rooms. The best part is that they offer all possible excursions with the best guides, always ensuring passenger safety. An amazing Explora experience!!

I had pending to rate a wonderful experience on Easter Island, where we went to celebrate our 9th anniversary. It was an exploration without any low points, food at the level of the best Mediterranean restaurant on the continent, a complete bar and an incredible selection of wines, excellent planning and dedication in the tours, very good massages, and especially attention to details. It was worth the higher investment for an experience of getting to know Easter Island in this factory of good experiences. Additionally, the concern and service for our anniversary day made it even more remarkable.

We spent just under 48 hours on Rapa Nui and while it was hectic, we had a ton of fun here. The resort was extremely flexible and helped us to see all of the highlights in the short amount of time we had to spend there. The guides were fantastic and shared their culture with us. It was fascinating to learn the history behind the statutes and discover the island.

Explora is an all inclusive work of art. The grounds and facilities are stunning, the staff is fantastic The included excursions are excellent with very good guides and drivers. It is without question the best accommodation on the island.

Explora Rapa Nui is, without question, the best hotel and best restaurant on Easter Island (Rapa Nui). As with other Explora resorts, the hotel offers a range of hikes and other outdoor activities, using its own staff of guides, all superbly trained; in four days you can fully explore the major sites on the island. The staff can arrange scuba diving, open diving, horse rides, etc.
The hotel itself is luxury class, with beautiful rooms, walk in showers, hot tub, and an incredibly comfortable bed. There is no TV, however, anywhere in the hotel.
Internet is available, but only in the common areas, and even then can be spotty, because the island’s only internet provider needs a serious upgrade.
The meals are exquisite, with fresh, flavor-filled ingredients beautifully presented. The menu features fresh fruits and seafood. The dining room looks out on fields to the south coast, where the breakers provide a lovely seascape.
The bartender, Paulo, is a world-class mixologist—his cocktails are creative and excellent. All the staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They kept worrying to me that they weren’t doing enough by way of helping me discover the island.

Maybe the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and it made for the perfect visit to Easter Island.

We loved our time at Explora!
From first arrival, the staff makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. The attention to detail is great! Yes, it is expensive but you are getting wonderful service and in our opinion was worth every penny.
All of the guides really made this place special, Tabby, Mae Mae, Jorge, and all of the others too! They made the excursions fun and informative. Most were Rapa Nui so it was interesting to learn about their lives on the island. Especially liked the snorkeling and the bird man hike. They meet with you every afternoon to plan the next day and make suggestions. We found most of the adventures fairly easy, but that was okay as we weren’t looking for a crazy physical challenge during this trip. Nice touch of fruit and drinks when you get back to the van after your hike or trip. We felt the guides really knew us and took an interest in making sure we had a good time. (...)
Highly recommend this Rapa Nui resort if you can afford it. The personalized friendly service without being smothering was perfect. It’s a hard balance to hit, but they have absolutely found it.

Explora Rapa Nui is the best place to stay on Easter Island if you’re looking for an inclusive adventure experience, and for many this is the ideal way to savor this unique & elusive place. The lodge is more remotely located -- about 15 to 20 min drive from town -- so you do feel a bit removed from the local culture & vibe of Hanga Roa, but this disadvantage comes at the perk of getting the most beautiful views you’ll find on the island.

The island of Eastern Island is just beautiful. Surrounded by beautiful deep blue waters. The hotel is beautifully designed for people who love exploration, And excellent service.
The view from the rooms tempts to stay in and watch, but the Enthusiastic guides and the sites beckon you to go out and explore.
All levels of explorations are available. The lobby, dinning room are inviting and very comfortable.
The chef and the kitchen stuff are very good.
Being a vegetarian they went out of their way to cook for me.
