How to get to Easter Island from Santiago Chile
From Santiago, Chile, you’ll need to connect to a flight to Easter Island (Rapa Nui), which takes approximately 5 hours.
Upon arrival at Mataveri Airport, our team will pick you up in a van and transfer you to Explora, a short 15-minute journey. Included in programs with transportation.

Please note: If you experience a flight change less than 24 hours before check-in and require a private transfer, additional costs may apply.
Pick-Up & Drop-Off
Pick- up:
For travelers who do not reach the hotel from the airport, we offer a pick-up service from certain hotels in Cusco and the Sacred Valley, scheduled at 11:00. Our reservation team Explora Sacred Valley will confirm the precise time. The maximum wait beyond the appointed hour is 15 min.*
Last-minute flight changes less than 24 hours before check-in may carry an additional cost for travelers if an exclusive transfer is required to pick them up because of that change.
Drop-off:
On the day of check-out, we offer shuttle services to the airport and hotels in Cusco and to other hotels in the Sacred Valley according to the schedules below.
- Cusco Airport: The transfer is scheduled according to travelers’ flights. (lunch not included)
- Hotels in Cusco and the Sacred Valley: The departure times for travelers staying in Cusco are at 10:00, 12:30 and 15:00. (lunch not included)
You can opt for a private transfer, which has an additional cost. Please contact your reservation executive or get in touch with reserve@explora.com prior to arrival for availability.

Check-in: After 13:00. We recommend arriving at noon for an afternoon exploration.

We want you to make the most of your stay. That’s why we offer the option of a half-day exploration on your departure day before heading to the airport (if your flight schedule allows). In this case, you’ll need to check out at 07:00 before exploring, and we’ll store your luggage.
*Please note: Lunch service is not included on your departure day and is available at an additional charge per person.
