- Massages and extra services requested at Explora Valle Sagrado or Machu Picchu Pueblo hotel.
- Private services, such as privately guided explorations. This is a group experience shared with other guests on your departure.

To get to our lodge, you must take a flight to the city of Cusco, Peru, in the morning.

Our team will pick you up at the airport to transfer you to the lodge.
It is recommended that you arrive 1 day in advance, in which case our team will pick you up at the hotel in Cusco.
Please note that the check-in time is from 3:00 pm onwards.

Phone signal and Wi-Fi are available at the lodges, but there is no signal during the days spent in the mountains.

This journey is recommended for active travelers.
You will hike 80 kms (50 miles), reaching up to heights of 4,683 meters above sea level (15,350 feet).

Yes, we accommodate dietary preferences, including vegan options. Please inform us in advance of any specific requirements so we can prepare a suitable menu for you at each accommodation.

In case of an emergency, our staff is trained to handle various situations. Our guides are certified in first aid, allowing them to properly assess and manage any incident that requires medical attention. Basic medical care, depending on the location of the evacuation, will be available in the cities of Ollantaytambo or Urubamba. For more complex treatments or depending on the severity, it may be necessary to transfer to Cusco for additional medical attention. We have an emergency plan, satellite communication, oxygen assistance, and evacuation points throughout the entire route to be prepared for any contingency.

You should bring a 20-liter daypack to carry essentials such as a jacket, water, and snacks for daily use. Additionally, a 40-liter duffle bag (measuring 25 x 30 x 50 cm) will be provided to store extra clothing and gear. This duffel bag will be transported between camps by mules, allowing you to focus on enjoying the trek comfortably. Any additional luggage or items you do not wish to take to the camping nights can be securely stored at the Explora hotel.

During the expedition, we will use a combination of transportation methods to ensure comfort and efficiency. Transfers from the hotel to the starting points of the hikes will be done by vans, allowing us to reach the starting points comfortably. For more scenic routes, such as the journey from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu Village, round trip, we will take the train, which offers stunning views of the Andean landscape. Additionally, during the trekking stages, we will use horses and mules to transport the equipment and supplies between camps, allowing us to enjoy the trek without the burden of heavy backpacks.
BOOKING AND CANCELATION POLICIES
You may cancel your booking up to 60 days before your check-in, free of fines. If you cancel your booking after that period, the following conditions apply:
• 60 days or more before the check-in date: no fine
• 59-30 days before the check-in date: 50% fine
• 29-0 days before the check-in date: 100% fineThe traveler must sign the flight disclaimer and exploration waiver.
